BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) — Police say 11 people have been taken to hospitals after a bus crashed into a Wells Fargo bank building in Birmingham, Alabama.
Birmingham police spokesman Lt. Sean Edwards said Tuesday that none of the injuries are believed to be life-threatening.
Al.com reports (http://bit.ly/1lnak0S) that most of the passengers were able to walk off the bus after the crash, which happened shortly before 9 a.m.
Police say the bus carrying 10 passengers heading south collided with a black SUV that was headed west.
Police said the impact of that wreck slammed the bus into the small Wells Fargo branch on the corner of the intersection.
