POCATELLO, Idaho (AP) — A southeastern Idaho woman faces a first-degree murder charge in the death of a 47-year-old man who lived in northern Bannock County. KPVI-TV reports 22-year-old Josephine B. The Boy is charged in the death of Martin Anderton. Anderton was found in his house in the Tyhee area after firefighters responded to a report of smoke coming from the house.
BOISE, Idaho (AP) — U.S. District Judge Lynn Winmill has sided with the Coeur d'Alene Tribe and will not issue a temporary ban on poker play at its Worley casino. The state of Idaho says that all poker is banned under Idaho's Constitution and by state law. Tribal representatives, however, counter that Texas Hold 'Em tournaments is not considered illegal gambling but a game of skill.
MOSCOW, Idaho (AP) — The first-degree murder trial of 52-year-old Charles Capone has been postponed. A Latah County Prosecutor tells the Lewiston Tribune that the judge is planning to recuse himself from the trial. A new trial date hasn't been set. Capone, of Moscow, is charged with killing his estranged wife, 40-year-old Rachael Anderson, in April 2010.
WORLEY, Idaho (AP) — Coeur d'Alene tribal police are searching for a 22-year-old man suspected in a weekend shooting in Worley that injured another man. Tribal police say Timothy Allen Jr. is suspected of shooting another man in the groin area. Officers say he should be considered armed and dangerous. A Tribal police spokeswoman says the victim is a member of another tribe living in the Worley area.
