This is Chris Redgrave for Zions Bank Speaking on Business.

In the Museum of Modern Art, there's around 10 pieces of classic design furniture — and five of those are Knoll (nole) chairs. Where office furniture is concerned, these are considered the best you can get. Workspace Elements in Salt Lake City is proud to be Utah's exclusive Knoll dealer.

The focus at Workspace Elements is on creating commercial interiors with just the right design work, office furniture, carpets and textured walls. With each job, they create a design team that meets with clients to figure out what their needs are and how they can best fill them. They can also work directly with construction companies and architects, starting the design work from the ground up, so it's part of the build process. In addition to Knoll, they offer many lines of office furniture for any size budget or level of office space, from start-up offices all the way to high-end executive suites.

Owners Jason Woodbury, Tim Barney and Scott Pingree have been in business as Workspace Elements for four years but purchased the 27-year-old company from the original founder. A strength they bring to their business operation is the belief that good design is good business. This dedication has helped them to increase business six fold since taking over. Jason and Tim handle sales while Scott takes care of the financial side. They're a great example of why the U.S. Chamber of Commerce has ranked Utah 4th overall for entrepreneurship and innovation.

Plus, because Workspace Elements employs three designers, they can turn designs around quickly, allowing them to have faster response time. Their client base includes businesses of all sizes from mid-sized companies to large organizations like the University of Utah. They can meet many budgets and timelines, even providing orders as small as a single desk and chair. But their strength is in creating full office systems where they provide an entire setup for someone's office.

The owners anticipate more growth at Workspace Elements as they continue working with clients to create just the right office space to fit their image, brand and company needs.

For Zions Bank, I'm Chris Redgrave, speaking on business.
