JAKARTA, Jun 8, 2006 (UPI via COMTEX) -- In defiance of militant Muslims, the publishers of Indonesia's Playboy magazine have published a second issue of 100,000 copies.
There is no nudity in the Indonesian version, but models wear skimpy clothing, which was enough to spark riots in the Muslim country when the first edition came out in April, a correspondent for The Telegraph said.
The publisher's office was stormed and protesters hurled stones and bricks at the building. That prompted the company to relocate to the island of Bali, which is predominantly Hindu, the report said.
An editorial in the second edition called for "the absence of a monopoly set of values and views in our beloved country."
The report said many street vendors in Jakarta sell the magazines, but all of them keep the glossy issues out of sight.
