Lance Bandley ReportingRobbery suspect tries to fight his way out of a Layton store.

Store employees noticed the suspect acting suspiciously around the pharmacy. The suspect picked up some medicine commonly used by people who aren't sick.

Sgt. Jace Petre: "The guy wandered around the store for a little while trying to decide what he was going to do. Got to a point and decided to go outside the store."

At that point, a security officer tried to stop the man and the fight broke out. Three other Target employees came to help out.

"When he first went in and they went to the ground he noticed the guy had a set of brass knuckles on his hand. He noticed the brass knuckles, was able to get those off his hand. The suspect never hit him with them, he just had them in his possession and on his hand at the time."

And because the suspect used force, his charge went from a misdemeanor to a felony.
