Rocky Mountain Power is trying to make energy efficiency fun - and they're rewarding their customers along the way. They're sponsoring a contest - calling all Utah customers to enter unique, fun and creative videos that will encourage everyone to be more energy efficient.
Some key facts about the contest:
-Contest is for Utah-based residential customers of Rocky Mountain Power (18 years or older)
-People under 18 can help their parents or friends make the video, but entrants must be 18+
-$17,000 in total prize money to be spent at Lowe's on anything related to making a home more energy efficient
-First prize: $10,000
-2 runner's up $2,500 each
-People's choice $2,000
-Rocky Mountain Power is looking for creative (and fun) ways for the people of Utah to be wattsmart, and to share those ideas via short videos
-Deadline for entries is May 31
-Odds of winning are high (only 5 entries as of today)
