The BYU and Utah Club Rugby teams have advanced to the Division I semifinals of the USA Rugby Collegiate Championships.
The Cougars will meet the Nittany Lions of Penn State in one of the semi-final matches, while 21-time and defending national champion Cal Berkeley will face-off against the University of Utah in the other semi-final on Saturday. The winners of the semi-final games will square off in the Championship May 6th at 4.30pm.
Utah has reached the Final Four for for the third time in five years. Utah will face rugby power Cal, in a rematch of last year's Championship. The Bears came out on top to take home their 21st National Championship trophy by the score of 44-7.
The Cougars, undefeated during the 2006 season, will face Penn State in one of the May 5 semifinals to be played at Stanford University in Palo Alto, Calif. They knocked off Penn State in February by a score of 42 to 10.
The semifinal winners advance to the May 6 Collegiate Championship, also at Stanford.
