NORTHFIELD, Ill. (AP) -- Check your cupboards. Kraft Foods is recalling packaged squares of white cooking chocolate because they may be contaminated with salmonella.

Consumers are being told to throw out affected six ounce packages of Baker's Premium White Chocolate Baking Squares. They have a best-used date of: March 31, April 1, April 2 and April 3, 2008.

The company says it's investigating the source of the problem. Salmonella was detected in tests conducted by the Food and Drug Administration.

Kraft has a toll-free number consumers can call to get more information or find out about getting reimbursement. (1-800-310-3704.)
