(KSL News) Utah's homeless may not get any help keeping the flu at bay this year.
People who donated money to the Fourth Street Clinic last year for flu shots have yet to materialize in this year's gloomy economy.
The Deseret News reports the clinic needs about $10,000 to cover the costs of the vaccine and medical supplies. Donations are being accepted at the Fourth Street Clinic's Web site.
Some free shots will be available in West Valley City next Wednesday. The city has partnered with SelectHealth and Community Nursing Services to offer a free flu shot clinic to the community on December 3, from 3 to 6 p.m.
The flu shots will be available at West Valley City Hall (3600 South Constitution Blvd.) on a first come first served basis while supplies last. The clinic is open to the public.
SelectHealth will also hold a free clinic at Monroe Elementary (4450 West 3100 South) on Tuesday, December 2, 2008 from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.
