High 5: Bountiful woman helps others despite health challenge

Brooke Walker reporting Christmas is a time of giving, and giving is something a Bountiful woman does best.

Carole Carlson has been a Utah teacher for more than 20 years. She recently suffered a brain tumor, but despite her own struggles she continued to think of others.

Her niece, Jenny Taylor, nominated Carole for a High 5.

"[She generous] to anyone who needs anything ... It's just anything she can do to help she always does," Jenny said.

Jenny helped us surprise Carole with a High 5 this morning.

In response Carole said, "It seems so unreal that I can have a trial, but so many people can feel the love and the empathy for me. I feel so blessed. I love my second graders. I love my niece. We are just so happy!"

Carole received two free snow rentals from Canyon Sport and some lift tickets.
