[CG :2 Line\Paul Anderson\1st deer hunt] We kick it off with Bailey's first year that she was eligible to deer hunt. Bailey warmed up with some fine shooting and some tasty grouse, then when this cool looking droptine buck stood up, Bailey made a great shot. She was thrilled to take her first big game animal after 6 years of going hunting with her Dad and Grandpa.

[CG :2 Line\Craig Tonks\Beat the boys!] The boys at school didn't believe Allison when she told them she had passed on a three by four opening weekend because she was looking for something bigger, but they do now! Craig says this is his daughters third buck and words can't describe the pride a father feels during a time such as this which followed with a high five, a loving hug and a call to her grandpa to tell him about the big buck.

[CG :2 Line\Darin Noorda\Alaska vs Utah Waterfowl] Darin's buddy is always claiming how great alaska is and how he can harvest all waterfowl species except for a swan. So Darin had him apply, he drew a swan tag, and together they had a blast! Darin showed him all utah had to offer, from swans to geese to ducks. They topped off his trip with a good old canvasback hunt to send him home back to the frozen state of Alaska!

[CG :2 Line\Brad Nielson\Ducks over bucks] Brad decided to go duck hunting instead of deer hunting this year and boy was he happy. He and his son-in-law, Scott, cleaned up, taking home nearly 2 limits of ducks. He even talked his wife and girls into going with him the next day. Brad says, once he learns to shoot straight, he expects to get a lot more ducks and geese this year!

[CG :2 Line\Shane McCowen\WINNER!] And finally our winner tonight is a nine year old who couldn't wait to pass his Hunters Safety. Roedy and his dad both put in for the swan hunt this year, Roedy drew, his dad did not. Dad and son hunted every weekend for hours. Mom even checked Roedy out of school early a couple times and their persistance finally paid off!! Roedy tagged his first swan on their hot spot out at Howard Slough. When they checked the swan in at DWR, Roedy was told that he was the youngest hunter to check a swan in this year, Well Roedy, what a great way to start off your hunting career and to help you remember the time spent afield with your dad, we're sending you our big prize from Camp Chef for having just won our snapshot of the week.
