Ben Petrick was supposed to be the answer at catcher for the MLB's Colorado Rockies when they drafted him in 1995. He was on top of the world after having a successful run through the minor leagues and early MLB career.
However, Petrick's dream was derailed when he was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease. He learned of his illness in 1999, but played through the disease until it finally claimed his abilities in 2004.
Petrick's story is told in this ESPN E:60 feature. The video above shows a preview of the E:60 feature.
