POWELL, Wyo. (AP) -- Wyoming's Northwest College has named Weber State assistant basketball coach Andy Jensen as the new coach at Northwest.

The college hired Jensen after a national search to replace Ken Rochlitz, who's retiring after 26 years of coaching the Trappers.

Northwest College conducted a national search for the coaching position. The school said the committee vote to hire Jensen was unanimous.

Jensen played at Utah in 1996. He then transfered to Weber State, where he averaged 9-point-5 points and 6-point-8 rebounds per game in the 1996-97 season.

Jensen captained Weber State when the Wildcats advanced to the second round of the N-C-A-A tournament by defeating North Carolina.
