(KSL News) Drought is plaguing much of the nation, but the solution to this problem starts at home.
Experts recommend people can do little things like collecting the water they use to rinse vegetables, and then reusing that water for household plants.
Something else that shouldn't go down the drain: anything in the disposal. Instead, the trash works just as well.
Water expert Camden Coley says, "Instead of pouring several gallons of water down to flush it, just put it in the trash and you will save water there every day."
Experts say you can save water even in your toilet. They recommend using a bag to displace the water in the tank. This way you use less water every flush.
