CLEARFIELD — Students and staff at Wasatch Elementary will resume classes this fall in a brand new building that is near completion.
The current building, the oldest in the district, was built in 1946 and was demolished Monday to make room for the new building.
"We're excited for the new school, but there's a lot of mixed feelings about seeing the old one go down," Principal Janet Sumner said.
A few bricks from the old building will be saved and sold in order to raise funds for a new electronic marquee.
