This is Chris Redgrave for Zions Bank Speaking on Business.

Park City has been the home to Adolph's Restaurant for 38 years. As a young skier with a background in the family restaurant business and working in places like St. Moritz, Switzerland and Vail, Adolph Imboden had never heard of Park City, Utah.

He got a call from Mr. Nassikas of Park City Ski Resort, where Adolph went to work as the Food and Beverage Manager with up to 100 employees. Several years later in 1977 he opened his European fare restaurant … Adoph's, right on the Park City golf course. When you ask Adolph how he has stood the test of time, especially in the competitive restaurant industry, which, by the way, brought over $3 billion in sales to the Utah economy last year, he will tell you the consistency of his food, his staff and his location in Park City.

The menu is updated at Adolph's three times a year — summer, winter and late fall. The traditional Swiss fondues with beef, cheese and chocolate are a hit during the winter, especially with skiers; however, Adolph also has a loyal following from Utah locals and out of town guests year around.

Adolph's has some classics on his menu that he's had in place for over 20 years like chateaubriand, escargot, steak Diane and his Caesar salad. To go along with his old-fashioned excellence is the white tablecloth, candlelight and fresh flowers on all the tables. Beautiful!

Adolph loves Park City, loves to ski as much as he can and doesn't like turn over when it comes to his staff. His personal administrative assistant, Michelle Low, has been with him for over 20 years along with other key staff members who add to his dedicated customer base.

Even though he grew up in his family restaurant business in Switzerland, he's always been drawn to America, especially the west. He said as a kid, the western United States fascinated him so it's no wonder he ended up in Utah. Adolph's restaurant in Park City believes in serving good food that's good for you.

For Zions Bank, I'm Chris Redgrave, speaking on business.
