This is Chris Redgrave for Zions Bank Speaking on Business.

Greg Worthington opened Worthington Gallery over 30 years ago. He originally purchased the beautiful 1860s era pioneer house to live in . . . until he started putting his pottery out in the front yard to sell. The first time it only took a short time to sell one of his pots. As an artist, he was very involved in the artist community and started collecting other artists to sell their artwork at his home. Today, Worthington Gallery is the oldest gallery in Springdale and one of the oldest in the state.

Worthington Gallery represents over 20 local and regional artists. Many of these artists are well known for creating beautiful artwork that depicts Zion National Park, only a mile down the road. Since this is an international destination that sees around 3 million visitors per year, their clientele includes everyone from locals to people from all over the world. This is important in contributing to Utah's thriving tourism industry that attracts around 20 million visitors every year.

Think about the treasures you bring back from the vacations you take. Isn't it more memorable to get something unique to the place you visit? This is something Worthington Gallery in Springdale at the mouth of Zion National Park offers.

Some of the artists this galley represents include Jim Jones, an internationally recognized painter of both Utah and Zion National Park. It's also the first gallery where Lyman Whitaker, known for his wind sculptures, showed his work. One of his ties to Worthington is his personal friendship with Greg. They've known each other since they were 14 and found themselves in the same art class. Lyman taught Greg a lot about pottery.

Another interesting part of Worthington Gallery is watching clients come back every year when they visit the park, like the Russian couple who first came to Zion National Park five years ago. They loved the gallery so much that a few weeks ago when they came to Utah they went to the Worthington Gallery before even checking into their hotel.

For Zions Bank, I'm Chris Redgrave, speaking on business.
