ORLANDO, Fla., Apr 10, 2006 (UPI via COMTEX) -- Tony Award-winning "Avenue Q" composer Robert Lopez and his wife, Kristen Anderson Lopez, have revamped "Finding Nemo" for the musical stage in Florida.
"Finding Nemo -- The Musical" will be Disney's first non-musical animated feature to make such a transition, Playbill.com reported.
The musical is scheduled to debut later this year at the Theater in the Wild at Disney's Animal Kingdom theme park in Orlando, Fla.
Like Disney's Broadway production of "The Lion King," "Finding Nemo" will come to life via an array of puppetry styles including live performers operating large puppets. Michael Curry, who designed the puppets for "The Lion King" is part of the "Nemo" creative team, Playbill noted.
