Lance Bandley ReportingThe flood watch is on across different parts of the state as the water continues to pour down. Crews met quite a site Thursday in Emmigration Canyon.
"Especially with that really warm Monday or Tuesday we had, Wednesday the flows were way up â€" as high as we've seen in 10 years," says Salt Lake County Flood Control project manager Terry Way.
He says he kept crews along the creek until midnight Wednesday night and then put another group there Thursday morning to keep logs and branches from clogging the water way.
Way says the water is only at two-thirds flood level, but if it gets dammed up, there will be problems.
"Haul off truckloads of debris of garbage. It's amazing to see what people throw in these creeks around here," Way says.
