MIDVALE — The bodies of a man and woman were discovered Friday evening inside an apartment unit at the Remington Apartments at 7400 S. State St.
Police have cordoned off the area and are awaiting a search warrant to gain entry to conduct their investigation into the deaths, which they are calling suspicious.
"We're trying to get answers as to what happened," said Unified Police Lt. Justin Hoyal.
Hoyal said police were notified at 8:05 p.m. after a maintenance worker spotted the bodies through a window. That worker, Hoyal said, had been contacted by the woman's mother, who told officers she was concerned because she had not heard from her daughter.
Hoyal said police at this time are not looking for any assailants in the case.
