EAGLE MOUNTAIN -- Drew Manning of Eagle Mountain has been posting his Fit 2 Fat 2 Fit journey on YouTube with videos showing him pig out on donuts and other fattening foods and not exercising.
For the last six months, Manning, a personal trainer, has been getting fat on purpose, hoping that he can then lose all the weight in the next six months to help inspire others to get healthy.
"I want to give people hope and I want to inspire them and to show them that it really is possible to get back in shape again," Manning said.
Manning said he wants to be able to identify with people struggling with being overweight and he hopes to prove that the pounds will start falling off for those who make the effort.
"I want to give people the knowledge and understanding of what to eat, specifically, when to eat it, how much of it to eat, when to work out, how to work out," he said. "I want to give them all of that knowledge I have as a personal trainer."
Manning has gained nearly 70 pounds over the last six months. He said it's scary because he now has high blood pressure and other medical concerns and he's anxious to start exercising again to get the weight back off. He's blogging about the experience at fit2fat2fit.com.
