NEW YORK -- Like any good hostess, a bubbly Lindsay Lohan made the rounds, gabbing with designer Marc Jacobs and checking in on her 18-year-old brother, Michael, who was sitting with friends at the end of a long table. She chatted with her stylist, Rachel Zoe, over an appetizer and salad. And when her friend Camilla Al Fayed, daughter of Harrods owner Mohamed Al Fayed, took too long in the restroom, Lohan yelled at her from the dining area to hurry out so others waiting in line could use the facilities.

The vibe was relaxed and fun at Tuesday's dinner at Da Silvano, hosted by Allure editor Linda Wells for her March cover girl. Lohan was surrounded by the creme de la creme of Seventh Avenue as designers Jacobs, Michael Kors, Narciso Rodriguez, Calvin Klein's Francisco Costa and Derek Lam feted the feisty actress, 19. "She's really nice, a teen queen, a fashion enthusiast," said Jacobs, who has known Lohan for a few months. "She wears everything she likes."

Lohan, a shopaholic, concedes she's fashion-crazed. "I have five closets. I'm not kidding," the bi-coastal Lohan said. "I just saw the new YSL collection, and it's to die for."

Lohan was friendly to everyone, including actress Parker Posey, whom she had just met, and gregarious supermodel Helena Christensen.

"I was so late today," she said. "But I'm not nervous because this is friends and family."

Kors, who like Lohan is from Long Island, has known her for about a year and a half and calls the actress "every designer's dream. She's willing to go from sporty to glamorous in 15 minutes."

Lohan wore a black and gold strapless Marchesa frock over black leggings. But as she arrived with her mother, Dina, she announced, "I want my dress to stay up. It's falling off." She kept hiking it up throughout the three-hour dinner.

She had planned to change into a Calvin Klein dress she had brought with her but decided it was too sheer because of the paparazzi waiting outside to snap her. "I bring a change of clothes everywhere with me," she said.
