GREEN RIVER, Emery County -- Two people died as a result of fatal injuries when their pickup truck rolled on I-70 Sunday morning.

Occupants Carlos A. Ornelas, 21, from South Gate, California, and Eddie Valencia, 20, from Los Angeles, California, were traveling east on I-70 near Green River in a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck when the vehicle went off the road on the left side, causing the vehicle to roll into the median.

Ornelas and Valencia were both ejected from the vehicle and were transported to St. Mary's Hospital in Grand Junction, Colorado. One of the men died at the scene, while the other was transported in critical condition, but later died as a result of his injuries.

A third passenger was taken to the hospital with minor arm and leg injuries but was released shortly after.

Investigators have not determined who was driving the vehicle.
