DUCHESNE -- An early morning rollover leaves one teenager dead and two others injured.
At approximately 12:20 a.m. Saturday morning, three teenagers were driving in a Ford F-350 up a dirt road to access a bluff known as "D Hill" on the northwest end of Duchesne. The truck went off the road and rolled 250 feet down the steep hillside, said Utah Highway Patrol trooper Seth Spencer.
All three teenagers were not wearing seat belts and were ejected when the truck rolled. The driver, identified as 15-year-old Chad Casey, was killed in the crash, with the two female passengers taken by ambulance to Uintah Basin Medical Center for treatment.
The condition of the passengers in the truck is unknown at this time. Their names have not been released because they are minors.
Casey did not have a license, Spencer said, but alcohol and drug use were not factors in the rollover.
