Sam Penrod ReportingAnother man suspected in covering up the disappearance of missing Spanish Fork teenager Kiplyn Davis appears to have cracked and will cooperate with authorities.

Garry Blackmore was scheduled to stand trial in federal court next week on charges of perjury. The trial has been cancelled and he is scheduled to change his plea to guilty.

Another Plea Deal Made in Missing Teen Case

This is yet another significant development. Court documents show that Garry Blackmore may know where Kiplyn is buried, and he is now apparently ready to help prosecutors, scheduled to take a plea deal next Thursday.

An alleged cover-up in the disappearance of Kiplyn Davis that has lasted more than ten years seems to have taken yet another blow. Garry Blackmore, who is charged with perjury and making false statements, is the latest defendant who appears ready to accept a plea bargain with federal prosecutors.

Blackmore's help could be critical to solving the case. In charging documents, Blackmore was indicted for lying about "helping to move a body." He was not a classmate of Kiplyn's and didn't live in the area until after she disappeared, but he is accused of lying about helping someone move a body, presumably Kiplyn's.

Blackmore joins Scott Brunson, who pleaded guilty to reduced charges last month in return for his cooperation in the case.

Three other defendants also are charged with perjury and face federal charges. Court documents show the three of them may have been responsible for Kiplyn's death. Timmy Olsen, Rucker Leifson and Chris Jeppson still face federal charges of perjury. Their trials, which were suppose to be this month, may now be on hold.

And now with Blackmore poised to join the prosecution side, it may very well be a race to the courthouse for the other three defendants and which one of them wants a deal, before the deals are over.
