TABIONA -- A crash near the town of Tabiona has killed a father and his daughter and injured three others in their family.
Stuart and Trudy Lewis of American Fork were taking three of their children to visit Stuart's parents in Duchesne County.
Their 18-year-old daughter Karalee was driving. She stopped at a stop sign near Tabiona and then pulled out to make a left turn directly into the path of an eastbound semi.
Stuart and Karalee died at the scene. His wife Trudy was injured and she's now at the University of Utah Hospital.
Fifteen-year-old James Andrew and 11-year-old Abigail were also badly hurt. They were both flown to Primary Children's Medical Center.
"He devoted his life to his family," said Stuart Lewis' sister Audrey Hoffman. "He was very much a family man. He was very creative."
The Lewis family had driven from their apartment in American Fork. Audrey says they were just 10 minutes away from Thanksgiving dinner when the crash occurred.
