SALT LAKE CITY -- The Fourth of July means parades, concerts and fireworks displays. Fireworks will be lighting up the skies all over the state. Because the Fourth of July is on a Sunday, many events are planned for Saturday, July 3, and Monday, July 5. Here is a list of events planned to celebrate Independence Day: Brigham City Brigham City will be celebrating the 4th of July holiday on Monday, July 5th. The fun begins at 8 a.m. with the Eagle's Breakfast at Pioneer Park. There will be games and concessions going on in the park throughout the day, and fireworks begin at dusk. There is also an open swim scheduled for after the fireworks, and it goes until midnight. For more details visit: CLICK HERE. Cedar City Celebrate Independence Day with American Family Fest at Main Street Park (Corner of 200 North and Main Street). Events are planned Friday through Monday. On Monday, July 5, at 9 a.m. it's Cedar City's traditional 4th of July Parade. At 8:30 p.m., there will be a pre-fireworks show at the Cedar City Airport. Then shortly after 10 p.m., fireworks will light up the night sky. Make sure to tune in your radios to 590 AM KSUB or 94.9 FM Kickn' Country to listen to a beautiful accompaniment to the fireworks display. The Children's Parade will be at 6:30 p.m. It begins in the parking lot at 160 S. 200 East and ends at Founder's Park. Contact Dani or Randy Burgoyne at 801-448-7263. A spectacular fireworks show will begin at 9:40 p.m. in the park. On Saturday, July 3, there will be a breakfast at Founders Park beginning at 7 a.m. There will also be the annual Freedom Run 5K and Children's run. The race will start behind the City Hall at 250 N. 100 East. Floats, bands and clowns are all part of the Parade on Main Street, which begins at 9 a.m. The parade beings at Chase Lane and ends at Pages Lane. For more information go to www.centervilleut.net.Clearfield On Saturday, July 3, holiday celebrations start with a 5K run/2 mile walk at 7 a.m. at the Clearfield City municipal building at 55 S. State Street. A breakfast will be served from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. in the parking lot of Macey's grocery store on 580 S. State St. From 9:30 a.m. until 11 a.m, there will be the hometown parade. The parade starts on State Street at the intersection of Center Street, continues south on State, turns east on S.R. 193 and ends at Fisher Park/Clearfield High School on 1000 East. From 6 p.m. until 11 p.m., it's the Fisher Park Festival. The night will culminate in the 10 p.m. fireworks show. For more information, visit, www.clearfieldcity.org. Deer Valley Resort The Utah Symphony performs all of your red, white, and blue favorites from Sousa Marches to Film music in its annual "Patriotic Celebration." It will be at the Sundance Resort on Saturday, July 3 at 7:30 p.m. The symphony will perform at Deer Valley Snow Park Outdoor. It will be followed by a parade at 11:00 a.m. Later that evening at 8:00 p.m. there will be a concert by "Cold Creek," a Bluegrass Band, at the county fairgrounds. Fireworks will be at dusk. Holladay A parade and fireworks are part of the celebrations in Holladay on July 3. The parade begins at 8 a.m. at City Hall (4580 S. 2300 East), proceeds out to 2300 then south to Laney Ave, winding around Holladay Boulevard around the fire station and back to City Hall. The fireworks festival kicks off at 10:10 p.m. For a more information, visit www.cityofholladay.comKaysville The city of Kaysville celebrates the nation's birthday on Saturday, July 3, with several activities. At 7:30 a.m. there will be a 5K and 10K run at Davis High School Football stadium, 325 S. Main St. There will be a parade beginning at 11 a.m. The route begins at the Davis Applied Technology Center, 550 East and 300 South, travels north along Main Street to 100 North, then east to 200 East, south to 200 South. Fireworks are at 10 p.m. at the DATC. For more information, visit www.kaysvillecity.com Lake Powell - Bullfrog Marina There will be a fireworks display at Bullfrog Marina near Hobie Cat Beach on July 3 at 10:00pm. Layton Layton will be celebrating with a breakfast, Fun Run/Walk, a parade, and a children's carnival, among other activities. All will be held Monday, July 5 at the Layton Commons Park. The night will end with a concert from the New American Philharmonic with Cannoneers at the Ed Kenley Amphitheater, followed by fireworks. The gates at Electric Park will open at 6 p.m. The dazzling fireworks show will begin around 10 p.m. Thanksgiving Point. Lewiston City All activities associated with the 4th of July will be held on the 5th of July. A parade will begin at 9:15 a.m. The Grand Marshal is Larry McKnight, a lifelong Lewiston resident who is being honored for his many years of service to the community. Magna The "Biggest Little 4th of July Celebration in Utah" celebrates its 100th Year. Magna will celebrate the Fourth of July with a parade at noon on Saturday, July 3. Moab The Independence Day Celebration will be held Saturday, July 3. It features a community parade, followed by an afternoon filled with games, prizes and vendors at Swanny City Park (400 North 100 West). Fireworks will be on Sunday evening and visible from just about anywhere in Moab. For more info call 435-259-7814. Murray Fun Days Several events are planned in Murray on Saturday, July 3. At 8 a.m. there's a 5K race, and at 9 a.m. there's the children's race. Both races begin at the Murray Park west entrance, near Constitution Circle. The parade is at 8:30 a.m. It begins at the Fashion Place Mall (6151 S. State St.) and ends at Murray Park. Several events are planned throughout the day, including baseball games, a carnival and live music. Fireworks begin at 10 p.m. in the Murray Park Softball Field. The parade will start at 10:00 a.m. and a patriotic program to begin immediately following the parade. North Ogden Cherry Days The fun starts with a 5K Fun Run and Mayor's Walk at 7 a.m. at the North Ogden IHC Health Center on Saturday, July 3. It's followed by the Children's Parade at 9:30 and the main parade at 10 a.m. The parades start at 2850 North and Washington Blvd. (400 East) continuing south to 1900 North, where it will head east and disperse at approximately 450 East and 1800 North. For more information visit CLICK HERE.North Salt Lake Fourth of July celebrations will be on July 3, from 6 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. at the Eaglewood Golf Course. On Monday at 10 a.m. there will be a parade, which begins at the Oakley Recreation Complex and ends near Oakley City Center. At 8 p.m. it's the PRCA Rodeo, followed by fireworks. Visit www.oakleycity.com for a more detailed schedule. Ogden Get ready to have fun with the "Hot Rock'n 4th" on Saturday, July 3. Events are scheduled all day at Lorin Farr Park/Ogden Stadium. Activities include a car show, kid rides, a giant slide, bungee trampoline. There is also live entertainment. At 6 p.m. it's the Stirrin' Dirt Demolition Derby. The day's events end with a big fireworks show at 10 p.m. You can find more information at http://www.ogden.cc/hotrockn4th/Park City Park City has scheduled several activities on Sunday, July 4, to celebrate Independence Day, including a breakfast at 7 a.m. at City Park, 1354 Park. Ave., followed by a 5K run. The parade, which features over 70 floats, begins at 11 a.m. There will also be a lot of food and music. Fireworks are at Park City Mountain Resort at dusk. The traditional dinner and festivities will be on Friday , July 2. Fireworks will be on Saturday at Fremont High School. More details on the festivities can be found Here.Provo's Freedom Festival: It's one of the biggest celebrations in the state and lasts several days. The celebration starts on July 2 with Balloon Fest. It takes place at 1100 N. Freedom Blvd, (Bulldog Field). Balloons will be flying each morning from 6:30-8 a.m., July 2nd, 3rd, and 5th. Another popular event is the Grand Parade, which begins at 9 a.m. at University Avenue on Monday, July 5. "Stadium of Fire" will be held on Saturday, July 3. It will be hosted by actor Lou Diamond Phillips. This year, the event features five-time Grammy Award winner Carrie Underwood. The 5 Browns, Jenny Oaks Baker, The Osmonds Second Generation, and Eric Dodge are also scheduled to perform. The concert begins at 8 p.m. at Brigham Young University's LaVell Edwards Stadium. It will end with one of the state's biggest fireworks displays. Tickets range in price from $30 to $120. Saturday night will feature local talent on the stage at Constitution Park beginning at 7 p.m. with the band Groove Merchants performing hit songs from the ‘70s, ‘80s and ‘90s starting at 8 p.m. The annual fireworks display will conclude the evening around 10 p.m. Salt Lake City The city's annual 4th of July celebration in Jordan Park (900 West 1000 South) will start with free pancake breakfast at 9 a.m. and kids bike parade at 10 a.m. on Saturday. The parade beginning at 6 p.m., followed by a concert and fireworks. The Freedom Fest Parade will be on Saturday, July 3 at 9 a.m. The new route is from 2280 S. 300 East to Fitts Park. For more details, CLICK HERE.St. George Independence Day Celebrations will be held on Saturday, July 3. New this year: an Independence Day Parade, which begins at 8 a.m. Bring the whole family for a day of fun at Worthen Park on 300 South and 400 East. Activities are free. They include music, food booths, face painting, and much more. From 8 p.m. until 10 p.m. there will be a free concert at the Dixie Sunbowl (100 South 400 East). Concessions open at 4 p.m., and entertainment begins at 6 p.m. The magnificent fireworks show will begin at 10 p.m. Tooele Celebrate Independence Day in style at the Deseret Peak Complex on Saturday, July 3. It's from noon to 5 p.m. You can also enjoy a barbecue lunch, live music, petting zoo, mule rides and much more. There will also be fireworks in Dutch John. On Sunday, July 4, there will be a fireworks show in Vernal. West Jordan Several events are planned to celebrate Independence Day in West Jordan, including a parade, a Corvette Car show,, Carnival and the Western Stampede PRCA rodeo.
