OREM -- An Orem man will stand trial on charges he sexually harassed a teenage girl who worked for him, the Daily Herald reports.
Monday, a judge ruled there is enough evidence to try Aaron "Joe" Hicks for sexual battery, attempted aggravated exploitation of a prostitute and tampering with a witness.
During a pretrial hearing the victim testified that during the two days she worked for Hicks at his restaurant, Joe's Café, he repeatedly offered to pay her for sex and touched her inappropriately.
She said Hicks also tried to give her a drink with alcohol in it, knowing she was a minor.
The Daily Herald reports Hicks has been charged with two third-degree felony counts, one of attempted aggravated exploitation of a prostitute and one of tampering with a witness. He's also facing class A misdemeanor charges of sexual battery and unlawful supply of alcohol to a minor.
Judge Darold McDade bound Hicks over for trial on all four counts.
