Have you ever pictured what your yard could really look like based on what you feel it has the potential to become? Sometimes all you need is a little direction, which Zach Hinckley is happy to provide through his company, Huskie'z Landscaping.
Riverton-based Huskie'z Landscaping offers a wide range of services for your yard — from maintenance, lawn care and pulling weeds to a complete design transformation. And in the wintertime, the company provides snow removal. Huskie'z also does commercial landscaping and maintenance services and supplies water features, rock gardens and yard structures such as decks, patios and pergolas.
Huskie'z is best known for its cedar garden boxes that are popular with clients growing square foot vegetable gardens. The boxes increase the vegetable yield because the plants don't have to contend with weeds, gardeners can grow only what they need and the soil is easily amended.
Zach's introduction to landscaping started early. He helped his father, a school teacher, supplement the family income in the summers by mowing up to 25 yards a week. Zack has since earned his bachelor's degree from Utah State University in landscape construction and acquired eight years of professional landscaping experience. He founded his company in 2002 after completing the two-year apprenticeship required to get his landscaping license.
Today, Huskie'z Landscaping works with elementary schools, senior centers and private residences on landscaping projects. The company has enough work that Zach employs 15 people all year round. His coverage area extends across the Wasatch Front and into several neighboring states. Huskie'z is distinguished as one of the few landscaping companies in the state that is run by two college grads in the field. His dream is for Huskie'z Landscaping to continue its steady growth and become Utah's best-known landscaping company for its quality of work.
