SALT LAKE CITY — There were 11 wildfires actively burning across Utah Thursday morning, according to Utah Fire Info.
The fires are centered mostly around central and western Utah, including four new fires — the Patterson Pass (near Wendover), Deer Creek (in Provo Canyon), Foothills (west of Holden, Millard County), and Lava Flow (west of Flowell, Millard County), fires — that started this week.
State fire officials said Wednesday night that the Dollar Ridge Fire, south of Fruitland, Duchesne County, had burned 56,687 acres and was 60 percent contained. The fire remains the largest active blaze in the state.
