SALT LAKE CITY — The Utah Utes football team is two days away from signing one of it's best recruiting classes in program history.

According to Scout.com, Utah is currently number 40 in the nation overall and is looking to move up the rankings. The Utes have 24 recruits as of Monday and are hoping to add more in the next couple of days.

Utah's best commit thus far, is junior college transfer Garett Bolles from Snow College. Bolles is considered the number one junior college player in the nation and is a 6-foot 6-inch, 305 pound tackle that will have an instant impact for the Utes this fall.

The Utes have 24 commits and five that have already signed their letter of intent and are enrolled in the spring semester at Utah.

  • Maxs Tupai: DE, 6'2" 250, Murray, Utah (Murray HS). Tupai is the number one high school recruit coming out of Utah this year and Utah is looking to anchor the four star defensive end into the program. Tupai likes the Utes and feels comfortable with the coaching staff. Tupai will likely choose between Oklahoma and Utah on Wednesday.
  • David Luafatasaga: OLB, 6'4" 225, Yuma, Arizona (Arizona Western College) Luafatasaga is one of Utah's most sought after recruits. Luafatasaga likes Utah and is deciding between Ole Miss and Utah. He is currently committed to Ole Miss, but will he be a Ute come signing day?
  • Keaton Bills: DE, 6'5" 275, Draper, Utah (Corner Canyon HS). Bills is an emerging recruit in Utah and he will decide between the Utes and BYU this Wednesday.
  • Kaelin Himphill: ILB, 6'2" 208, Hillsboro, Oregon (Liberty HS). Himphill is a highly touted linebacker coming out of Oregon and the Utes are making a push for him. Himphill will decide between Arizona, Oregon St., San Diego St., Utah, and Utah St.
As the 2016 National Signing Day approaches, look for Utah to make a move in the overall recruiting rankings. Utah is in the hunt for multiple recruits that have the Utes among their top school choices.
