ST. GEORGE — Dixie High running back Tre Miller was one of the top rushers in Class 3AA during his time with the Flyers, and he committed to keep it going with Utah State on Sunday night.

Miller has committed to head coach Matt Wells and the Aggies, he announced on his Twitter feed.

"I want to thank all my high school coaches and so on for helping develop me into the player I am, but most importantly the young man I am today," Miller wrote in his post.

The 6-foot-1, 215-pound Miller ran for 3,201 yards and 36 touchdowns in three years with the Flyers' varsity team, including 1,602 yards and 18 touchdowns as a senior. The 2014 3AA state champions advanced to the finals last fall, where they fell to Logan in the Grizzlies' first season in the classification.

Miller said he plans to serve a two-year mission for the LDS Church immediately following high school, and plans to enroll at Utah State for the 2018-19 season.
