KAYSVILLE — Jarett Gardner poured in 28 points to go along with five steals in leading the Davis boys basketball team to a 55-41 win over Viewmont to claim first place in Region 2 on a Friday night.

MaxPreps honored the Darts' girls soccer team during the game with a special recognition of its undefeated season, one in 10 teams in the nation to do so in 2015.

The Darts, who moved to 5-1 in region play while handing the Vikings their second loss in league play, went up 10 at halftime. Landon Swartz had 13 point, six rebounds and three steals for Davis, which got seven points and six boards from Ben Rigby.

Sean Giovannoni led Viewmont with 10 points and nine rebounds.
