SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — The two-story wall of dinosaur bones at Dinosaur National Monument is now online.

Officials said Wednesday that volunteers have spent two years photographing fossils, digitizing historical records and compiling data from the wall for the web site.

The digital quarry currently depicts a small portion of the more-than 5,000 fossils deposited in the ancient riverbed. Dinosaur National Monument officials say they eventually plan to digitally reconstruct all of the fossils originally in the Carnegie Quarry and make them publicly accessible, along with the archival materials.

Fossil fans who code or design contribute to the project, which is online at carnegiequarry.com.

Dinosaur National Monument is located about 200 miles east of Salt Lake City.
