FARR WEST, Weber County — A woman was found dead in a trailer Tuesday at a house where sheriff's deputies have been called to respond to reports of domestic violence in the past.

But after several hours of investigating and interviewing people, Weber County Sheriff's Lt. Lane Findlay said Tuesday afternoon "there is insufficient evidence to indicate it is a homicide."

Until an autopsy on Britney LouAnn Hansen, 33, of Farr West, is conducted Wednesday, however, the death will still be classified as "suspicious," Findlay said.

Hansen's 40-year-old, longtime live-in boyfriend was released by police after being questioned and was not considered a suspect Tuesday, Findlay said.

"There was some evidence recovered at the scene that indicated Hansen's death could have been contributed to a drug overdose, but her exact cause of death has not been determined. Results from the autopsy and toxicology should shed more light on this situation," he said.

The investigation began just after 7 a.m., when three children were getting ready for school at their house, 1502 N. 2000 West.

"When they went to check on their mother before going to school, they found her unresponsive," Findlay said.

Hansen was found in a trailer parked on the side of the house. The children — two who attend elementary school and a third in junior high — ran across the street to a neighbor's house and called 911. When deputies arrived, the neighbors had gone over to the trailer and were attempting CPR on Hansen, Findlay said.

After deputies arrived at the house, the woman's boyfriend also showed up, Findlay said. He reportedly had been at work.

The children told detectives that Hansen and the boyfriend had been arguing in the trailer Monday night. Findlay said deputies had been called to the house a "couple of times" over the past year on reports of possible domestic violence. Because of that, the boyfriend was questioned Tuesday by detectives.

Findlay said there were no obvious signs of trauma on Hansen's body.

"So we don't really know what the cause of death is at this time," he said.
