The time has come.

Your family has finally outgrown the sedan and now you have to get a bigger car. Everyone you know has an opinion on what your next vehicle should be. A minivan.

For you, though, the minivan is not an option. You just can't bring yourself to accept this level of parenthood.

The good news? There are several other options to choose from that have many of the same amenities minivans offer.

The following vehicles are five of the best minivan alternatives.

Chevy Suburban ==============

It's more than capable of taking your family wherever you need to go, whether you are just running to the grocery store or driving to Disneyland for summer vacation. With seven seats, it has plenty of space to bring along everything you need. Newer models include built-in 4G LTE Wi-Fi, and Rear-Seat Entertainment System with Blu-ray, according to the Chevy Suburban website. This vehicle is more expensive than the average minivan, but if space is what you need, the Suburban has it.

[Dodge Durango

While the Durango has many of the same amenities as a minivan, the exterior couldn't look more different. The interior includes seven seats and dual built-in headrest mounted 9-inch screens with the Blu-ray system. The Durango also has many safety features to protect your family on the road, including Blind Spot Detection and Forward Collision Warning, which alerts the driver if they are approaching cars ahead of them too fast.

Hyundai Santa Fe ================

This mid-size SUV has two options: the SE with seven seats and 25 mpg highway, and the Limited, which has six seats and second-row captain's chairs, according to the website. Getting where you need to be may mean fewer trips to the gas station. The Santa Fe was also ranked as one of the Best 3-row Midsize SUVs for value in 2015, according to U.S. News and World Report.

Nissan Pathfinder =================

The Nissan Pathfinder includes three models, all of which have seven seats and 20 mpg city and 27 mpg highway. Even with seven seats, the Pathfinder has room for 16 cubic feet of cargo, and, if the third-row seats are pushed down, over 47 cubic feet of cargo space. Drop the second and third rows of seats and you are looking at over 79 cubic feet of space, according to the website. The Pathfinder was also a 2015 IIHs Top Safety Pick.

[Honda Pilot

The Pilot includes seating for up to eight people and up to 109 cubic-feet of cargo space. The Pilot includes five models to choose from, all of which include 19 mpg city and 27 mpg highway. The Pilot also has a rear entertainment system and an 8-inch display audio touch-screen dashboard display. Other options include Back-Up Sensors and the Remote Engine Start System.
