Deron Williams, former Utah Jazz guard, has listed his NYC penthouse for $33.5 million as he moves to Dallas to play for the Mavericks.

Williams bought the apartment for $15.8 million in 2013, but the New York Post says that he customized the six-bedroom apartment "from top to bottom."

Deron Williams signed with the Brooklyn Nets in 2012 on a five-year deal for nearly $100 million. But Williams hadn't lived up to expectations, as injuries, feuds with coaches and other issues led to significantly decreased production. As a result, the Nets bought him out of the remainder of his contract for approximately $25 million; Williams then signed a contract with the Mavericks.

Truth is, we enjoy getting away from the hustle and bustle and going back to Utah every summer.

Back in 2013, the real estate broker responsible for selling the home, Douglas Elliman Real Estate, wrote this about the house:

"This sprawling, light-filled penthouse is truly the ideal TriBeCa trophy apartment. Perched atop the Merchant's House on TriBeCa's premier block, the duplex six-bedroom home is comprised of over 6,800 square feet complemented by 3,000 square feet of private outdoor gardens. As you enter the loft via direct keyed elevator access, custom designed John Houshmand benches accent the gallery-like entry hallway. The north wing of the home features the grand, contemporary great room with 17' ceilings and 50' of floor-to-ceiling windows and a continuous skylight overhead. Sitting areas are complemented by a gas fireplace, wet bar and integrated surround sound. From the great room's sliding glass doors, the Japanese garden landscaped by Shin Abe completes the serene, airy space. An exquisite custom-made floating staircase leads to the two bedrooms in this wing, both open and bright with en suite baths. The restaurant-grade kitchen is stainless steel from top to bottom and features a commercial range and dishwasher, two industrial refrigerators, Hafele storage and more. Flanking the kitchen is both a spacious china closet and oversized climate controlled wine room."

While there are no new pictures of Williams' changes, photos from the 2013 sale, as well as the floor plan, are available in our gallery.

Williams still has a home in Utah. In September, Williams told Resident magazine about why he still likes visiting Utah during the summer:

"In Utah, you just send your kids to the first public school in the area because they're all great. Truth is, we enjoy getting away from the hustle and bustle and going back to Utah every summer. It's a relief to take that timeout. No traffic. No crowds. My daughters still have their friends there. There's a big backyard. They go to the pool; the playground and they jump on the trampoline. Kids running wild and free here…? I don't think so."
