SALT LAKE CITY — The Jazz today announced their 2015 preseason schedule... and they're going to Hawaii! Three home games in Salt Lake City are also in Utah's schedule.
The Jazz will face the Los Angeles Lakers on Oct. 4 and again on Oct. 6 in the Stan Sheriff Center in Honolulu, Hawaii, on the University of Hawaii campus. It will mark the first time in 22 years the Jazz have played in Hawaii.
At home, the Jazz will play familiar rivals. Former Weber State star Damian Lillard comes to Utah on Oct. 12 as the undisputed leader on a revamped Portland Trail Blazers squad.
The Jazz will play Portland again in Portland six days later, then return home to face Enes Kanter and the Oklahoma City Thunder. Two days later, the Jazz play Rocky Mountain rival the Denver Nuggets on Oct. 22.
Notable: the preseason schedule of only seven games is somewhat unusual. It will be the first time since 2008 that the Jazz will play only seven games rather than the typical eight.
Tickets will go on sale Friday, July 31, at 10 a.m.
