LOGAN — The Utah State men's basketball program was largely untouched by turnover following Stew Morrill's final year as head coach.

But the Aggies, who lost only redshirt senior Sean Harris to graduation and sophomore guard JoJo McGlaston to a requested release, lost reserve guard Viko Noma'aea late Sunday night, the Las Vegas native posted on his Instagram account.

"Never thought this day would come, but it has and I'm sad to say that I will be transferring from Utah State this fall," Noma'aea said. "I am so blessed and grateful for all of the many relationships I have developed over these past two years."

Noma'aea played in 14 games as a sophomore in 2014-15 and averaged 0.7 points and 0.5 rebounds per game on 18.8 percent shooting in just 5.1 minutes. He totaled a season-high five points against Idaho State and never picked up more than two in other contributory factors such as rebounds, assists or steals in his Aggie career.

Noma'aea did not announce a transfer destination.

Aggie standout Jalen Moore was among those who wished Noma'aea good luck via Twitter.

Best Of Luck To My Bro @VeekoNomaaea ! Hate To See You Go Man, But Got Great Things In The Future Ahead Of You. #FutureFamousDJ — Jalen Moore (@JalenMoore14) April 30, 2015

The two-time Nevada Class 4A All-State guard from Sierra Vista High School averaged 17.3 points and 5.3 assists in high school, but his role was limited as an Aggie. His biggest impact came off the bench as a freshman in 2013-14, when he averaged 1.4 points, 0.3 rebounds and 0.2 assists in 5.4 minutes per game. ![](http://beacon.deseretconnect.com/beacon.gif?cid=304011&pid=4)
