SALT LAKE CITY — Welcome to the redesigned KSL.com. Thanks to all your feedback, we'll continue to improve and refine the site to meet your needs.

We think you'll appreciate the clean look. The new design unifies the user experience whether you're on a desktop or using a mobile device. It also retains the classic news queue of the home page.

Since we initially introduced the new look, we've already made a few changes we think you'll like. The body copy is now displayed in a simple sans-serif font to improve readability. Some of the headings and navigation elements have also been slightly reworked. We're continually refining the site and responding to your feedback.

KSL.com belongs to the community and we hope you'll enjoy the updates. As always, we welcome your feedback.

What has changed?

The site is now responsive, so rather than redirecting a mobile user to a different version of the site, the page adapts to whatever device you might be using.

Photo galleries and extra story features are displayed more prominently than before. Large thumbnail images at the bottom of each story give the reader a better glimpse at the contents of the galleries.

The comment board is now attached to the story and can be expanded to view or comment.

Advertising has been organized to provide a better experience for users and better exposure for local advertisers. KSL.com readers and local businesses together create an online community unlike any other. We're proud to be the No. 1 local news website and marketplace in the state.

Thank you for being part of our early rollout. Your opinion is very important to us, so please leave a comment on this story or via our Feedback page.

Navigating the new site design

The new site uses a responsive design that adjusts to the size of the browser window or device. Because of that, some navigation items will be found in different places depending on how you access KSL.com.

If you are using a browser on a desktop or laptop computer, the site navigation displays at the top of the page. You'll see links for news categories on the left side of the top menu and links to the Marketplace (Classifieds, Cars, Jobs, etc.) on the right, along with the search function and the account login.

If you are on a smaller device, like a phone or tablet, you'll access the navigation by clicking on the three-lined menu icon in the top right corner. This will open a navigation pane displaying the main site sections. You can also click on the arrows to reveal additional sub-sections.

On the desktop version, you can access your account by clicking the user icon on the far right:

Search the site by clicking the magnifying glass icon on the far right of the main navigation area:

Find your favorite sub-section by clicking the main navigation links:

Some sections will have a drop-down menu with access to other sub-sections. To find your favorite weather features, for example, use the drop-down menu next to the section name:

You can access the full weather forecast by clicking the icon in the main navigation area showing the current conditions:

As always, we'll be making updates and responding to your feedback. Your opinion is very important to us, so please leave a comment on this story or send us a note via our Feedback page.
