SALT LAKE CITY — A bicyclist was killed late Wednesday night after colliding with a vehicle at an intersection, police said.
Christopher Watson, 31, was riding westbound downhill on 700 South at about 11:30 p.m. As he approached 900 East, a 45-year-old man driving a vehicle was driving southbound on the same road. Watson then collided with a car door on the driver's side, according to Salt Lake police Det. Veronica Montoya.
Watson, who was wearing a helmet, was transported to the hospital where he died from his injuries.
The man driving the vehicle would have had the right of way at the intersection, which has stop signs placed for through traffic on 700 South.
