HOLLADAY — A man is in critical condition Sunday after crashing his car into a hair salon near 6100 S. Highland Drive in Holladay, authorities said.

According to Chris Atkin from the Unified Fire Authority, the driver crossed some landscaping and crashed into the back wall of the salon. The driver then had to be extricated from the vehicle and was transferred to Intermountain Medical Group hospital in Holladay for medical care.

Since the business was closed Sunday, no one was in the salon at the time of the incident.

Authorities said they have no indication at this time how the driver lost control of the vehicle.

More information will be posted as it becomes available.
