LOGAN — Following an offseason that included hiring a new head coach and a new athletic director, Utah State released its men's basketball schedule for next season.
First-year head coach Tim Duryea and the Aggies have finalized their 2015-16 season schedule, which is highlighted by a Nov. 29 clash with defending national champion Duke at Cameron Indoor Stadium.
The game will be the first-ever meeting between Duke and Utah State, which will face first-time opponents in the Blue Devils, Missouri State on Dec. 1 and North Dakota State in the annual Gossner Foods tournament over Christmas break.
"The expectations for this team will be much higher than they were last year," Duryea said in a statement. "Mainly because of the experience we have this year as compared to last year. We really are excited about our schedule."

Utah State will open the season with exhibition games against Oklahoma Panhandle State on Oct. 31 and Cal State Monterey Bay on Nov. 6, just a day after the Otters play at Utah in Salt Lake City. The regular season formally begins Nov. 13 with a road game at Weber State, where the Aggies are 16-18 all-time.
"It is never easy to play Weber State, and that will give us a test right off the bat," Duryea said. "The in-state games are always very exciting and very challenging."
Utah State's other games against schools on the Wasatch Front are Nov. 24 against Utah Valley and Dec. 9 at BYU. Non-conference home games for Utah State also will include Adams State, Union College, UC Davis, UC Irvine, Texas-Rio Grande Valley (formerly Texas-Pan American) and Idaho State.
The Aggies will open Mountain West play Dec. 30 at San Jose State and will begin league play at home Jan. 2 against San Diego State. The final home game of the regular season will be March 5 against Fresno State.
The Aggies finished the final year of the Stew Morrill era with an 18-13 record, including an 11-7 mark in Mountain West play before a first-round loss to Wyoming in the conference tournament. Utah State will return all but two players from its 2014-15 lineup, including all-conference award winners Jalen Moore, David Collette and Chris Smith.
