MEOWINGTON — If you’ve spent any time singing songs as a kid, chances are you’re familiar with the children’s classic “If You’re Happy and You Know It.”
As you probably know, the song encourages anyone who is happy to clap their hands, stomp their feet and shout “hooray!” But what if you’re a cat and you’re happy? How then are you supposed to express your joy?
Well a cat champion has emerged to lead cats everywhere in expressing their happiness. In the video, a man sings the familiar song in Portuguese to his pretty kitty, and right on cue, the cat express his happiness with a hearty meow.
I fully admit that it’s silly, but I will tell you that it’s also charming and worth 15 seconds of your time to brighten your day. I watched it three times in a row, personally.
Now that the cats have a champion (I know we’re all relieved), which creature will step forward for the tyrannosaurus rex, another creature that cannot express its joy by clapping its hands? Only time, and maybe the new “Jurassic World” movie, will tell.
