BOUNTIFUL — Several schools and businesses in Davis County are without the Internet after a fiber optics line in Bountiful was cut overnight.

The CenturyLink line was cut in the area of 500 South, just west of I-15 in Bountiful, where construction is underway for the 500 South onramp.

Multiple businesses are without Internet service and three schools in the area, Meadowbrook, West Bountiful and Woods Cross, are also impacted.

According to the Davis School District, the schools have no Internet or email capabilities and also have limited phone service. Parents and students can call in, but there is no voice mail working right now.

CenturyLink says that crews are expected to have the line repaired by Wednesday night.
