LEGO CITY — If you loved Legos as a kid (and still love Legos but you’re unsure if it’s socially acceptable to admit that you love them as an adult), you probably enjoy all the Lego stop-motion shorts you see on the Internet, like this sweet “Jurassic Park” homage.

Last week a new contender emerged in the most charming Lego film category. You know, if we were categorizing them.

The 3-minute video, called “Lego_Adventure in the City” is a simple story of an average day in an average Lego city. The protagonist is a snake who lives in a “small house on top of a very high building” that he travels to on a rocket. He’s having an average, lovely day when suddenly there’s an attack of drab and boring gray Lego bricks that are trying to take over the city, and the snake does all he can to save the day.

Between the sweet script that sounds like a child telling an imaginative story and the boy’s particular brand of articulation in the narration, the video is sure to charm your socks off.

The short was written and directed by Rogier Wieland for Lego China, and it took six animators plus two set builders to make the vision a reality. To see the hard work that goes behind making stop motion, watch this behind-the-scenes video. (It’s worth it.)

Happy watching and building!
