WELLINGTON, Carbon County — A Price woman killed when turbulence from a passing semitrailer caused her to lose control of her motorcycle and crash has been identified.

Judy A. Jones, 51, was riding a 2012 Harley Davidson about 3 p.m. Thursday on U.S. 6 about 20 miles south of Wellington when a semitrailer passed on her left. There was also a semitrailer in front of her, according to the Utah Highway Patrol. Investigators said the turbulence caused her to crash into the guardrail. The impact from that crash threw Jones from her motorcycle.

One of the truck drivers stopped to give first aid. Jones was wearing a helmet. Her husband and brother were also riding on motorcycles a short distance away.

Two of the most recent pictures on Jones' Facebook page include her pictures with her and her husband, one of the pictures with the two on a motorcycle.

Friends posted messages of condolence on her Facebook page.

"A sweet lady gone way too soon," one commenter posted. "Will miss you sweet lady. Ride with angels," another wrote. "Heaven has gained another angel … condolences to her hubby and family, and friends. Gods speed … ride with the wind," wrote another commenter.
