SALT LAKE CITY — Despite a fantastic defensive season in which he led Utah's much improved defense, Rudy Gobert was left off the NBA's all-defensive teams that were announced Wednesday.

Instead, Los Angeles Clipper DeAndre Jordan was named as the All-Defensive First-Team center, garnering 84 out of 130 total possible first-team votes. Andrew Bogut finished as the All-Defensive Second-Team center, with 33 first-team votes. Gobert, on the other hand, finished with five first-team votes and accumulated the 11th-most points of the group.

Jordan's case comes largely through his league-leading impact on the defensive glass, and his fourth-place rank in blocks. Clippers' coach Doc Rivers' campaigning for Jordan certainly helped his case.

Bogut's won his spot from his role as the Golden State Warriors' defensive leader. The Warriors finished with the best defense in the league on the back of fantastic interior defense from Bogut and forward Draymond Green, who also placed second in the NBA's defensive player of the year voting. Bogut, though, played over 500 fewer minutes than Gobert.

Gobert didn't seem too upset about being left off the rosters, though:
