SALT LAKE CITY — A continuing series of storms and showers this week has made for some great weather pictures from around the state.

A strong storm "painted some ominous pictures" in the sky with looming, dark clouds, said KSL-TV's meteorologist Kevin Eubank Thursday night. But the bark was worse than the bite of the storm. It included some heavy rain and some hail, thunder and lightning, but nothing too severe over the state.

More storms are expected Friday and Saturday, including lower termperatures. Visit KSL-TV's weather page for up-to-date information.

An iWitness user was filming a storm on May 6 when they captured a lightning strike right in front of a home. Watch the video above.
