SALT LAKE CITY — Looking for something unique but useful to give a special woman for Mother’s Day?

Technology-related gifts can be fun and often come with the added benefit of making daily tasks more convenient. We compiled a short list of gadgets that could make great Mother’s Day gifts.

Let us know if you have any other suggestions in the comment section.

Perfect Bake

This smart scale set makes baking easier than ever by cutting out the need to measure ingredients. Like other scales, it weighs ingredients to let you know when you have poured the right amount into color coded bowls.

However, what makes Perfect Bake special is its accompanying app, which receives information from the scale to guide you through each step. It features a collection of 300 recipes and lets you personalize the recipe by scaling the size to the number of people you want to feed, the pan size, or the amount of an ingredient you have. If you want to use a family recipe, you can add it to the system.

Perfect Bake can be purchased from Amazon.com for $45.58.

Portable phone charger

With texting and social media playing a significant role in everyday life, smartphone batteries often die faster than you would like them too. An increasingly popular solution to the low-battery problem is to use a portable battery charger, which is typically slim enough to slide into a purse while running errands.

Companies like myCharge sell reliable chargers in stylish patterns for about $20, but the devices can readily be found in almost any electronics store. Perfectly functioning — and attractive — portable chargers also regularly show up for discounted prices in stores like Marshalls and Ross.

Polaroid printer

The small Polaroid ZIP Mobile Printer is perfect for quickly printing off fun moments captured on your phone. It connects directly to your smartphone with the help of Bluetooth and an accompanying app to produce prints in less than a minute.

The device, which was just released in April for $130, received positive reviews from places like CNET and Cool Mom Tech. Companies like Fujifilm also make similar printers.

Fitness tracker

Fitness trackers like Fitbit are all the rage, and some companies are offering devices with a more feminine touch. The Misfit Shine, which tracks statistics for daily activities and sleeping, comes in a variety of colors for around $75 and can be placed in a traditional wristband, or worn as a pendant with the bloom necklace accessory. Misfit is also preselling its Swarovski crystal line of trackers, which look more like expensive jewelry than fitness devices.

Another device to look forward to is the Bellabeat Leaf, which can be worn as a pendant or clip. It won’t be ready for delivery in time for Mother’s Day, but it’s worth mentioning and could make a great present in the future.

Lens attachment

If the mother in your life is into photography, you could also buy a lens attachment to enhance the picture-taking abilities of her smartphone. The 4-in-1 Olloclip Lens, which costs $79.99, is popular for its capacity to capture fish-eye, wide-angle, 10x macro and 15x macro images on both front- and rear-facing cameras.

Those who want to go the extra mile for phone photography could consider Sony’s line of QX lenses, which offer 30x optical zoom. However, prices start around $300, so it might make more sense to just buy a full-functioning digital camera.
